German artist Jan Vormann has an enviable talent with legos. And while that sort of skill might not be in high demand in today's competitive work environment, it's a talent that has served him well in the public art arena.  Terming his installations "Dispatchwork," Vormann visits cities around the globe---including Arnsberg (pictured above), Tel Aviv, St. Petersburg and Amsterdam---to locate cracks and spaces in buildings, statues and street fixtures that could do with some plastic toy filling. To risk sounding sentimental, the results are life-affirming: Who doesn't want to live in a world in which architectural chinks are magically filled in with rainbow blocks? If you'd like to join the cause (the artist frequently enlists help from the locals on his missions) you can follow his public works via his website. Below, a selection of highlights from his trips to Berlin, Bocchignano, Quito and, most recently, New York. berlinitalyquitoNewYOrk
