Well-Rounded Week
Erin Loechner
Here at ReadyMade, we scour the web daily for the best in people, places, products, foods. Below are our picks for October 25-29, 2010:

BUYABLE:
- It's official; the Cats Let Nothing Darken Their Roar 2011 calendar has hit shelves across the states. If you love typography, this is a must-buy.
- Ian Carpenter's coveted work is now for sale at ArtQuiver. I'm particularly loving Trace Summits, a gouache and pencil piece on wood.
- These WildLife prints in real life settings are killing me. Adorable (and that polar bear! Agh!)! Another win for Etsy!
- Geometric-inspired tees from Handsome Clothing. Need I say more?

READABLE:
- You've had your eye on a new mirror for your crash pad, yes? Behold, the 25 Most Creative and Original Mirror Designs (loving that ironing board mirror! Genius!).
- Gear up for a spooky weekend by brushing up on Haunted Historic Places. Eeeeerie!
- A hilarious round-up of creatives attempting to bridge a generation gap: Watch Artists Explain Their Work To Their Parents on Good.is.

DOABLE:
- Take a cue from Sweet Paul and craft a Forest Scene Pumpkin Carving this weekend. Muuuuch better than last year's tired Jack'O'Lantern.
- Head over to The Year in Pictures and see A Shooting Gallery Self-Portrait that will blow your mind. (Spoiler: Ria van Dijk documents nearly every year of her life at a shooting gallery --- she's now 88!)
- And, of course, we highly recommend any of our Best Events!

EDIBLE:
- Sweet potatoes are piling up at most farmers markets and this Sweet Potato Tart with Caramelized Onions from Erin at Fresh365 is the first thing we’d like to do with them.
- Feeling the need to liven up breakfast? A friend of ours made a breakfast sundae with banana bread, sliced bananas, and yogurt the other morning—it’s time to make that a new brunch staple starting with this Best Pumpkin Bread You’ll Ever Have from Food Loves Writing.
- Not in the mood for a breakfast sundae? Try Pumpkin Pancakes. They will have you ready to welcome November in no time.
- And finally, while we know some parents won’t let kids eat anything not properly sealed, we say give your neighborhood tikes a homemade Halloween with a treat like these Apple and Cheddar Cookies from Kelly at Eat Make Read. They’ll get plenty of snickers and dots from other houses!
Happy Halloween, friends!
