7 DIY Jewelry Organizers
Chris Gardner
Over the weekend I helped a friend unpack from her very ambitious, end-of-the-year, snow covered move to a new apartment. I whipped through the boxes of books and dishes, but when it came to the bedroom, I was set face-to-face with a six-gallon box of twisted, turned, and tangled necklaces, bracelets, chains, and earrings.
Of course I asked, very politely, if the box had fallen over or been dropped. "No," she replied. "That's how it was when I packed it."
OK, so, sure, I'm a guy, and don't know a ton about jewelry, but as someone who unknots and tucks his shoelaces in for fear of a tangle, I know there has to be a better way. And, as you'll see below, there are. Seven glorious, DIY jewelry organizing solutions.

Here's an elegant linen-covered corkboard option from Hello Beauty.

Using perforated materials to hang hooks is always a smart solution, such as the recycled table top above,

Or these two options using peg board, such as the large, functional model above...

...and this smaller, boutique-inspired organizer from Liz Stanley.

This cafe curtain rod is a super smart alternative to the larger pieces above.

And from ReadyMade blogger Megan Jeyifo, this crazy-creative vintage grater earring organizer.
