We've all been to parties where there's a tub full of cold frosty brew and someone walks off with the bottle opener. Here are five ways to repurpose everyday objects to get those pesky metal lids off and save the day.
1. Use Another Bottle

This is perhaps the best of all the bottle opening techniques, as where there is one beer, you're sure to find another. I used to open bottles by flipping one upside down and using the cap as a lever, but sometimes I'd inadvertently open the wrong bottle (not good when it's upside down). This method is fool-proof and looks cool to boot.
2. Use a Spoon

So what do you do when you're down to one bottle of beer? This is when you have to get creative and find some random object that will remove the barrier between you and that last beer. This method uses a spoon as the lever.
3. Use a Lighter

Don't have a spoon? How about a lighter?
4. Use a Pen

If you can get over this guy's ridiculous shirt, the trick is actually pretty cool. You could always use a pen as a lever like with the spoon and lighter, but this one only requires one hand and it looks a lot slicker than trying to fumble around with a limp pen.
5. Use a $1 bill

This one is kind of neat just because it uses a small piece of paper to get the bottle cap off. Just make sure you don't spend all your money on beer, otherwise you'll need to find another method to get that last bottle you bought open.
