How To: Handpainted Graphic Branch Wall
Chris Gardner

Capree spied a bit of amazing wallpaper, Branch from Ferm Living, and fell in love. Of course, the pattern fetched a pretty steep price tag, and, while unique, seemed pretty easy to recreate in true DIY fashion.
So, she recreated the fabric in Photoshop, and projected it onto the wall for a trace. Then, she got to painting, and...

"You see, that teeny, tiny bit at the top there took me TWO HOURS, " said Capree. "Two hours, people. Please note how much wall is left. Someone called me a masochist for doing this, and I think they might be right. Either that or I am completely insane."
But she kept at it, and the results are unbelievable, complete with a second coat! To sum up the whole experience, Capree notes, "I first thought of the branch wall idea a few years ago after I spotted Ferm Living's Branch Wallpaper. But, at $115 per single roll, it was a little more than I wanted to pay. Jump to nearly two years later, and I finally took the plunge and decided to DIY it. Many, many months and hand cramps after that, I finally finished it."

Thankfully, she was kind enough to document the whole process, so YOU can try it at home.
