Society Pages: A Night of Wes Anderson (And His Most Loveable Characters)
Alexa Fornoff
Everyone loves them, everyone hates them, and everyone wants to be in them. Since we will most likely never make the pages of Vanity Fair, we have taken matters into our own hands. As part of our ongoing Society Pages, we present you with...A Night of Wes Anderson.
Food, drinks, prizes, projected Wes Anderson films, costumes, music and theme rooms...nothing was left untouched or un-Andersonized on Saturday night at the Colonade in Des Moines, Iowa. Right when you walked in, the lovely hostesses greeted you and asked that you sign a petition to bring back Latin—did you hear that they're not going to teach it anymore?

Alicia Vreugdenhil and Erin Stover work the door. There were costumes from Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic and The Darjeeling Limited, and even a personified Futura Bold "F," the hallmark typography of Wes Anderson.

Welcome to the party, and there were even butterscotch sundae cupcakes in honor of Margot Tenenbaum.

Max Fischer herself, Mary Nesbit.

John Solarz and Adam Ferry, also known as Flatform provided the audio and visual entertainment for the evening.

Jim Hurley, Jonathon Pearson, Brittany Borstad, Erin Stover, David Poyzer, Sarah Brammer and Mariah Poyzer are the Belafonte crew.

Saeed Tokhi and Molly Suddeth.

Gabriel Saenz as Richie Tenenbaum.

Mariah Poyzer and David Poyzer as the Zissou camera crew.
