Our Facebook fan Maria-Gracia Inglessis crafted these cards with materials from Goodwill (and they also help spread goodwill, too)! Below, she was kind enough to share the how-to with us.
Materials:
Blank, all purpose cards (many times I find mine in thrift stores)
Fabric left overs (cotton for the most impatient, silk for the patient; found at Goodwill)
Scissors
X-Acto Knife
Glue
Instructions:
1. Use the X-Acto knife to cut out a design on the front of the card (this will be the part of the card where the fabric peeks through). Simpler designs work great with fun fabric patterns.
2. Cut a square of fabric, the same size as your card.
3. Spread the glue on the card (inside of the cover) then glue the the fabric to this surface. NOTE: Make sure to glue the right side of the fabric, so that the wrong side faces the inside of the card.
4. Put the card under a heavy book so that it is pressed until the glue has dried.
5. Write a sincere message coming from the bottom of your heart.
6. Voila! People love them!
