necklace with stones Remember when I said I was thinking about taking a jewelry-making class? This morning I stumbled upon two posts' worth of inspiration from Park & Cube. (On making a necklace, here, and integrating stones into it, here.) IMG_3399-520x346-1 About the geometric necklace, Shini writes:
I wanted the necklace to be somewhat asymmetric, but being a n00b and all, didn’t realise that it’s not that simple in jewellery architecture, so had to improvise with chains… Huge respect to Dnyce and those others savvy for jewellery construction; it surprisingly requires a lot of logic and craftsmanship, neither of which I posess in great dosage.
Judging from the rest of the DIY projects posted on her blog, we're not buying it. The tutorial that got Shini started on her necklace is available here.
