80s-kitchen

Tina Barseghian of SFGate's The Wallflower spotted this picture of a kitchen from an '80s home decorating magazine. She ran it in a post about pegboard, noting

Another pegboard used in the kitchen. If you're discriminating with the objects you choose to hang, it can look like a cool rotating exhibit.

We couldn't agree more. So what do you call this wire kitchen solution, exactly? It looks like they might be what's called gridwall panels, often used in retail displays. A four foot by four foot chrome panel will set you back $26.25, here. (The catch: they come in packs of three.) As a bonus, there's all kinds of modular hooks and hardware made to work with the panels--like shelves, and even a catalog holder. We want! [via Desire to Inspire]
