Welcome to Love and Olive Oil, the culinary adventures of Lindsay and Taylor. We’re not chefs, in fact we’ve had our fair share of flames and failures. But like any good relationship, cooking has its ups and downs. We’re all about quick and flavorful dishes that don’t hurt the wallet. We invite you to our kitchen (as tiny as it may be) and share in our love for food and desire to always find something new to eat.
I love how many of their posts remind me of foods that I love but have for one reason or another forgotten about, or needed a bit of a push to try. It's been too long since I've had a version of Orrechiette with Italian Sausage, Broccoli Rabe and Crunchy Garlic Breadcrumbs (I am a big fan of breadcrumbs mixed into pasta), the Fresh Mint and Chocolate Chip Ice Cream (never made it with fresh mint and this will help me continue my love affair with my new ice cream machine!) and this Beet Green and Garlic Scape Bruschetta because I have both of those things either in my garden or in my fridge (via my CSA). Oh and I will not miss out on this Banana Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream- which might be just the thing for a dessert potluck I'm participating in tomorrow night. Yum!
