Last week we told you about happenings starring Dungeons & Dragons, craft books, and a costume-filled fundraiser in New York (happening tonight). The next seven days are chock-full of events equally as varied--but each has a completely creative twist. Don't burn yourself out too much this weekend on candy and festive drinks. Save some energy for these amazing events:

Tonight:
Sumobot Tournament
814 E Broadway, Louisville, KY
Throw on your costume early and head to LVL1's hackerspace to witness a competition of Sumobots. These mini robots are works of DIY engineering are constructed with kits or collected parts. Hackers, geeks, and makers compete to win top title. Check out the list of rules for the game here. After the tournament, BYOB for a Halloween bash with prizes. And it's all free!

Saturday:
Denver Handmade Alliance Art by Craft Market
1485 Delgany St., Denver, CO
Hosted by the Denver Handmade Alliance and the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, this craft market features handmade goods from 30 local crafters. Don your Halloween attire and trick-or-treat throughout the museum in between bouts of shopping. The first 50 visitors score a bag full o' handmade goods. Candy? Swag? Win-win.
This weekend:
Chronicle Book Sale
680 Second Street, San Francisco, CA
Mark the bookworms off your holiday list at the Chronicle Book store. They're offering up to 65% off select titles at the Second Street location only. ReadyMade constantly features Chronicle's stuff (like The Exquisite Book), so you know they'll have some prime picks for the creative people in your life. Or, you know, you could always get stuff for yourself. No judgement.

Indie Emporium
VFW Post 577 on 6th Street, Tulsa, OK
It's a trifecta of art, craft, and fashion, all inspired by the "current handmade revolution." Shop handmade, swing by the make-and-take crafting booths, and check out handmade wearables at the fashion show. The Indie Emporium also boasts workshops and demos led by the craftiest locals and live music.

And a Call for Vendors:
Paws & Play
San Francisco, CA
The Bold Italic is teaming up with Rocket Dog Rescue and Pawesome for a free pet fair on November 13th. We'll dish more on the phenomenal pet-happy event next week. But in the meantime, they're looking for San Francisco pet stores, groomers, pet accessory makers, pet portrait photographers, and the like who would like to participate as a tabled vendor. You can learn more at Pawesome (which is also co-founded by one of our way-fab bloggers, Sonia). Spread the good word to help benefit furry friends!
Head over to our calendar to check out what else is happening as October comes to an end. And don't forget to post your own parties, openings, and other random ReadyMade-esque happenings.
