30 Days of Creativity, Day 15: A Decoupaged, Finance-Friendly Box

"I'm a freelance writer, so I have to keep all my receipts for write-offs throughout the year (unless I want to cry while eating a tuna fish sandwich around tax time, like I did this past year). Since I was recently working an article about organizing your finances (hint hint!) I was encouraged to create an 'attractive' place to keep my paperwork so I'd actually be encouraged to do so (and thus decrease my likelihood of crying). I decoupaged this shoebox to stash stuff in last night (above) and am putting the final coat of Mod Podge to seal in the collage this afternoon. I loved being reminded of my favorite zone-out craft: cutting pretty things out of magazines to make a collage—and re-reading some articles along the way. Ideally, I'd have a more organized file system (foreshadowing!), but hey, one step at a time." -Online Assistant Caitlin Thornton

Wow that’s cool, I never thought about it before. Sometimes I’m confused about magazines stack in my house, but now I got inspiration to make some creativity with those magazines. Hopefully we can make it neater. Thank you for inspiring me.. Alvina
