Go East Group Exhibition

Sculpture Objects & Functional Art Fair

Chicago, Illinois
In its 16th year, SOFA Chicago takes over Navy Pier for three days of art, sculpture, lecture, and innovation. Some of the exhibits even forgo the traditional tradeshow booth and are taking over a space showcasing installations exactly how the artists envision. Five special exhibits explore the work of Sam Maloof, Israeli jewelers, wood turning, global glass, and ceramicists. Get tickets here.
Muertos Opening Reception

The 23rd Annual Christmas Festival

Richmond Zine Fest

The Zine Fest opens with a First Friday gallery show including live music, performances, and—of course—zine makers. Day 2 of the festival centers on the many dozens of zine makers and distros from Richmond and beyond at Gallery 5 downtown, where you can chat about logistics, how to distribute or even take part in a hands-on workshop.
Metro Arts Expo

New Orleans Bookfair

New Orleans, Louisiana
The 500-600 block of Frenchman Street will be overrun with tables of indie books, publishers, presses, artists, and zine makers this Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. The NOLA Bookfair features readings, food, music, and general good times pre- and post-event. Make sure to check out the tenth annual Babylon Lexicon, which uses books and zines as an avant-artist medium—and this may or may not include a bowl of bite-sized comic books.
