Weekend Warriors: Slide Carousel Japanese Lamp

japanese_lamp_colorIn each issue of ReadyMade, the MacGyver Challenge asks readers to make something useful and well-designed out of some particular piece of modern effluvium. For Issue 42, we challenged readers to reuse the humble slide carousel: the slotted, blocky apparatus that families everywhere used to use to show pictures of their vacations to yawning neighbors.

California native Evan Bee walked off as the winner of our slide carousel challenge with his design for a grow-lamp in the round, but his wasn’t the only compelling entry we received.
