Yellow and Handmade Bridal Shower
A + B (Amelia + Brett)

Slide 1/6Delicious cake made by the Cake Gallery of Kingsport, TN. -
Slide 2/6We used simple mason jars with cream carnations as the centerpieces for our casual lunch. -
Slide 3/6The mason jars had rusted frog-lids for sticking the carnations securely, and we tied yellow ribbon around each lid. -
Slide 4/6I used antique paper doilies and seam binding to make these garlands. Each doily was cut in half and pressed onto the seam binding with hot glue. They turned out to be really beautiful. -
Slide 5/6I used the pattern and design of Amelia and Brett's wedding invitations for the favor boxes and laid them out in a bricklay pattern on a cake serving dish, with more carnations in the center. -
Slide 6/6Here's a close-up of a favor box, with the candies peeking out.

We threw a shower for our great friend, Knoxville graphic designer Amelia Sweat. The colors were yellow and purple, and we ran with it, using entirely handmade decorations. Here's what we came up with.
