Gerald Haessig Designs: Gerald Haessig's signature "Silveramics" line is raku fired ceramic vessels with pure silver fused on the surface of the clay body. This donation piece is a smaller rendition of a commissioned piece presented to First Lady Michelle Obama. The slab and hand constructed vessel has been dipped in a Red raku glaze. The body of the vessel has fleur de lis flanking the sides and a decorative motif on the front and back. Pure silver is applied on the front motif and the handle of the lid. Some areas have been left unglazed causing black carbon to be absorbed in those areas during the firing process.
Laura Tanner Jewelry: Laura Tanner Jewelry is independently owned by founder and designer Laura Tanner Swinand just outside Chicago. Laura creates handmade jewelry by combining beautiful semi-precious gemstone beads, freshwater pearls, and precious metals sourced from around the world. This fabulous convertible necklace is created by linking a simple drop necklace chain to the matching bracelet and features beautiful, pale rose quartz faceted round gemstones on a sterling silver beaded cable chain suspended from the delicate rolo chain.
The Art of Stephen Winer: The Icon 2 will be auctioned off. Part of the Pieces Series, this 19“ high medium - embellished wood has a black copper enamel finish. Each side is embellished differently. Each sculpture in the Pieces Series is unique. The sculpture itself dictates where the pieces go with no preconceived plan before it is started. Stephen Winer has truely found his love and passion and feels that each and every day is an adventure. A true lover of art, when describing his work he says that he, "is amazed to be so privileged to do what I am doing."
Daisy Bags: Featuring the Daisy Bags for Work and Play Collection. Items from this collection will include the Extra Large Ribbon Bag, 13" Laptop Sleeve, Small Flat Bag, Wrislet, and Merimini-credit card organizer. Jill, from Daisy Bags, has been making fun, unique products since she was in grade school. Daisy Bags started years later in 2004 after she made a bag with a photo of my dog, Daisy, on it. While she still makes photo brag bags, her product line has expanded to include six different bag styles, five different sizes, dozens of accessories, a men's line and a kid's line.
MyPerennial: A traditional, intricate Hungarian felt appliqué technique combines with MyPerennial’s modern design sensibility to create these fresh and inviting pillows. Meticulously detailed starbursts radiate on 16” square, red backgrounds. Removable feather/down stuffers are included.
Klara Borbas: After being a successful potter for many years Klara Borbas started her porcelain jewelry line in 2008. Her designs are based on contrasts; hard and soft, rough and refined, black and white, full shape and delicate lines. Her collections are simple and basic, yet sophisticated. Each piece is individually formed and decorated.
Mirabelle Studio: Judy Lynn of Mirabelle Studio creates handmade books, boxes and prints. Her background in graphic design and her attention to detail are evident in every item she makes. This box combines contemporary styling with Japanese papers for a striking look. Inside, the divided tray can be used for jewelry or the tray can be removed for larger keepsake items. Judy loves to create pieces that are beautiful and functional yet open for the owner to complete with their own treasures or memories. For info please click here.
MARGO MORRISON NEW YORK: Fascinated with the idea of suspending stones the way musical notes are suspended on a staff, Margo Morrison began creating her semi-precious and pearl jewelry line known as MARGO MORRISON NEW YORK. She donated a white freshwater coin pearl necklace with Swarovski crystal and a sterling silver toggle on nylon cord.
Genuinely Jill: The inspiration behind Jill Pam's piece is "It takes a long time to grow and old friend". The leaves on this antique tray represent the growth of the tree and the antique bowl has weathered the test of time like only a true friendship can. For more information click here.
Sarah Chapman: Sarah Chapman will be donating a shell pendant to the auction. Sarah C. Chapman is a studio jeweler whose work is inspired by architecture and by nature as architect.
