- Thread (heavy-duty and embroidery)
- Batting
- Dried catnip
Materials
- Scissors
- Needle (regular and embroidery)
- Straight pins
Tools
Cut out your bottle and cups, either freehand or by copying ours (if you’re going freehand, remember to cut them slightly larger than you want them to end up). While you’re at it, cut out the label, ice cubes, and cork.
Use the embroidery thread to decorate the label (we went with triple Xs for our hooch), then use the heavy-duty thread to stitch the label to the front of your bottle.
Lay out your ice cubes on the front side of your glasses and pin in place. Stitch down securely.
Pin the front and back of the bottle together, inserting the cork at the top and pinning in place.
Stitch around both sides and the top, leaving the bottom un-sewn. Try to keep your stitches about 1⁄4" from the edge, and use a backstitch to keep things secure.
Unpin the bottom and stuff your bottle with batting, sprinkling in catnip as you go.
Re-pin the bottom, lining up the edges, and stitch closed.
Repeat this process with the glasses, then give your kitten a little nip.
