- Jars (find larger jars from specialtybottle.com)
- Repositionable vinyl alphabet stickers (found in the art section of most craft stores)
- Masking tape
- Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream (available at most craft stores)
Materials
- One-inch paintbrush
Tools
Wash jars with soap and water to remove any debris—especially if you reuse old jars.
Use tape to mask off a rectangle that is at least 1 inch larger than the vinyl lettering.
Place the vinyl letters inside the rectangle, leaving a half-inch border between the edge of the letters and the edge of the masking tape.
Smooth both the tape and the vinyl letters to the jar, pressing down with your fingers to seal well. This prevents the glass etch from creeping under the mask and blurring the edges of the letters.
Using the 1-inch brush, paint glass etch over the entire interior of the masked rectangle and over the vinyl letters.Â
Wait five minutes for the glass etch to do its job, then rinse the etched jar under water to completely remove the solution.
Peel off the tape and lettering.
Fill the jars with supplies, and enjoy your highly organized life!
