Have a lot of small framed photos & don't want 100 holes in your wall? Here's a solution that allows you to add new photos whenever. It also adds its own decorative touch.Skill Level

Active Time
Half a day
Cost
$
- old shutters (2 or more)
- bracing brackets
- screws & anchors
- small variety s-hooks
- personal framed photos (4x6 variety)
- clear krylon finish (flat) - optional
Materials
- power drill
- screwdriver
Tools
1. Gather old shutters (if you don't have them, they can be purchased from an antique store; often people are throwing them away)
2. Clean shutters and arrange them (louvers up) in the pattern you want to place them.
3. Attach the shutters together from the back using the bracing brackets.
4. (May skip) - In a well ventilated area spray over the old shutters using clear flat krylon. This step is primarily for shutters that may be chipping paint. It will keep the paint from chipping too much. Beware if you have small children . . . many old shutters contain lead paint!
5. Drill holes in upper corners of shutters and in wall where you wish to hang them.
6. Secure anchors in wall and hang shutters. Be sure the louvers are angled UP (and not toward the wall).
7. Choose photos and hang on louvers using s-hooks!
